How the Geni Pulse mobile app and this website handle information.

Effective date: August 29, 2026

Overview

This policy covers the Geni Pulse mobile app (for iOS and Android) and the genipulse.app website. Geni Pulse ("we", "us") is a business-to-business manufacturing tool: factory operators, supervisors, and administrators use the app on the plant floor to run production, scan material and pallets, and communicate. Most of the policy below is about the app; the website section near the end covers genipulse.app itself. Questions can be sent to hello@genipulse.app.

The app is used on behalf of your employer

Geni Pulse is licensed to manufacturing companies for their own workforce. If you sign in as an operator, supervisor, or administrator, you do so with credentials issued by your employer, and the information you enter is stored in your employer's private instance ("tenant") of the service. Your employer controls that information and its retention; we process it on their behalf to provide the app. If you are an app user with a question about your data, please contact your employer or administrator first — we will assist them in responding.

Information the app processes

  • Account & identity. Your name, operator/user code, and the PIN or credentials used to sign in. Administrators and supervisors may have an email address on file. This is used to authenticate you and to attribute floor activity to the right person.
  • Device information. When a shared device is enrolled for sign-in, we store a device token and label, plus the app version and basic operating-system information, to keep sign-in secure and to support the app.
  • Operational activity. The records you create while working — machine sign-in/out, production entries, material and pallet scans, stop and downtime reasons, quality checks, and team-chat messages — are saved to your employer's tenant so the plant can run and report on production.
  • Photos you choose to attach. If you attach a photo to a chat message or a problem report, that image is uploaded to your employer's tenant. Photos are only accessed when you pick or take one for that purpose.

Device permissions

The app asks for these only for the features that need them, and each is optional:

  • Camera — to scan barcodes and QR codes on tags, rolls, and pallets. Scanning is performed on the device; the camera image itself is not stored or transmitted for scanning. The camera is also used if you choose to photograph a problem on the floor.
  • Photos / media — only when you pick an existing image to attach to a chat message or report.
  • Face ID / fingerprint — if you turn on biometric unlock, your device performs the check and only tells the app whether it succeeded. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

What the app does not do

  • It does not track you across other apps or websites.
  • It contains no advertising and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
  • It does not sell or rent your information.
  • It does not collect your device's location for tracking.

How information is shared

App information stays within your employer's tenant and the infrastructure that runs it. We use a small number of service providers to operate the service — for example, cloud hosting for the backend and, for the public app-download link, Netlify. Providers process data under their own privacy terms and only to run the service. We do not share app data with advertisers.

Security

Traffic between the app and its backend is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are held in the device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), and access to features is controlled by the roles and permissions your administrator grants.

Data retention

Operational records are retained in your employer's tenant according to their configuration and agreement with us. Account information is kept while your account is active. Deletion or export requests for app data are handled through your employer; we support them in fulfilling those requests.

Children

Geni Pulse is a workplace, business-to-business service. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

The genipulse.app website

The information the website collects directly from you is what you type into the contact form: your name, company, email address, and message. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry and follow up on the conversation you started. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers; like most sites, our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and operations.

Running the site involves a few service providers:

  • Netlify hosts the site, processes contact-form submissions (with spam filtering), and serves the app-download link.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your browser requests font files from Google's servers.
  • ConnectWise ScreenConnect powers the remote-support page. A remote session begins only if you enter a session code and run the support client, and you can end it at any time.

Your choices and rights

For website data, you can request a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@genipulse.app. For app data held in your employer's tenant, contact your employer or administrator, and we will assist them. We respond within a reasonable time, and within any period required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and note material changes prominently here.
